Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL

Market got some new Pixel and Pixel XL……

Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are android smartphone designed, developed and marketed by google. They were announced during a google event on October 4 2017, as the successors of Pixel and Pixel XL. They were release on October 19, 2017, and serves as the second set of smartphones in the Google Pixel hardware line. The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel. The Google Pixel2 and Pixel 2 XL are currently carried in Verizon and Project Fi.

                         

                        

 The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL has code name given by their makers as “Walleye” for Pixel 2 and “Taimen” for Pixel 2XL. Google as the developer of both of the phones so the choose HTC and LG electronics as manufactures. As the pixel 2 is a smartphone and pixel 2xl is a phablet their dimensions are as follows:

                           H =145.7mm or (5.74”)

Pixel 2XL      :- H=157.9mm or (6.22”)

                          W=76.7mm or (3.02”)

Now if we talk about the body of the phones the back of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL has the top section made up of glass to provide antenna transitivity while the rest of the back is made of aluminum with a thin “premium coating of plastic”.

 

Now let’s go inside the phone, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are both powered by the QUALCOMM snapdragon 825 coupled with 4GB  LPDDR4X Ram. They both comes with storage option 64GB or 128GB.

The Pixel 2 have a 5 inch(130mm) AMOLED display panel with 1920 x 1080p resolution coming in at around 441ppi,while the Pixel 2 XL comes with a 6 inch(150mm) P-OLED display panel with 18:1 aspect ratio and a 2880 x 1440 resolution at 588ppi.

                                                            Now let’s move toward the camera side both the phones has 12.2 megapixel rear camera capable of recording 4k video at 30 FP,1080p video at 120 FPS and 720p video at 240 FPS. The camera also contain phase detection auto focus, laser auto focus and HDR+ processing. Pixel 2 owners receive free unlimited storage for all photos and videos taken on the phone with

original quality through the end of 2020 with unlimited high quality storage continuing afterwards. The Pixel 2 camera receive a score 98 from DxOmark making making it the top performing mobile device camera that they have tested. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL also include the Intel designed Pixel visual core image processor for faster and lower power image processing, through it is not expected to be enable until Android 8.1 is released.

The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL support USB power delivery quick charging, has a finger print sensor on the rear, has IP67 dust and water resistance and is day dream ready.

The Phone ships with a stock Android 8.0 Oreo on launch. Google has also promised 3 years of software and security updates, which is a year longer than the most other android smartphone.

The new Pixel also include a feature called “Active edge” with this, the Google assistant can be launched by squeezing the phone side.
